Le Mans FC announced on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, the signing of 34-year-old World Cup champion Djibril Sidibé. The defender signs a contract until 2028 with an option for an additional season. A rich Ligue 1 career
Djibril Sidibé, trained at LOSC, played in Ligue 1 from the age of 20. He stayed four seasons at the club of Rennes before joining AS Monaco, where he won the French championship title and reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2017. Abroad, he played for Everton FC and AEK Athens FC, where he achieved the double of Coupe and Championship in 2023. 'This same season 2016-2017, he honored his first 18 selections in Blue,' recalls Le Mans FC.
A leader for the club's maturity
The player, who has 285 matches in Ligue 1, joins Mans FC after two seasons at Toulouse FC. 'He knows Ligue 1 very well, he is a leader who will bring us maturity.
