Le Mans FC midfielder Adil Bourabaa has received his first call-up to the Algeria national team. Selector Brahim Hemdani summoned the 23-year-old on Monday, September 21, to replace the injured Nabil Bentaleb of Lille.
Bourabaa's rise has been rapid, having been playing in the French fifth tier just eight months ago. He has been a permanent fixture in the Le Mans starting eleven since the beginning of the 2026 season. "Adil Bourabaa has started every match since the beginning of the season with Le Mans FC," he said. His impact is quantified: with three goals in five appearances, he is the club's top scorer this campaign.
Le Mans FC currently sit ninth in Ligue 1 with six points. Their last win, a 2-1 victory over Lorient on September 19, featured an opening goal from Bourabaa in the third minute.
